dc.description.abstractIntroducción: El Síndrome de Burnout (SB) o también muy conocido como el Síndrome de quemarse en el trabajo, es una reacción a un alto estrés laboral crónico, se evidencia principalmente por bajo rendimiento profesional o personal, agotamiento emocional y comportamiento despersonalizado, en este proceso progresivamente el trabajador sufre una pérdida del interés por sus tareas y va desarrollando una reacción psicológica negativa hacia su ocupación laboral. Objetivo: El objetivo de esta revisión es la caracterización del Síndrome de Burnout en trabajadores de la salud. Métodos: Se realizó una revisión sistemática, con el fin de identificar y evaluar artículos que brinden información acerca del SB, esta búsqueda se realizó en bases de datos como: Redalyc, PubMed y Scielo; usando palabras claves para la búsqueda las cuales fueron: Burnout, Pandemia, Agotamiento psicológico, Riesgo a la salud aprobadas en MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) y DeCS (Descriptores en Ciencias de la Salud). Conclusión: El síndrome de Burnout no ha recibido la atención adecuada en el ámbito laboral, a pesar de ser una enfermedad con una causa que contribuye al crecimiento en el servicio de la atención al paciente y falta de responsabilidad en la práctica médica profesional; por lo que se ve involucrado quien la padece directamente como de quien es atendido. dc.description.abstractIntroduction: The Burnout Syndrome (SB) or also well known as the Syndrome of burning out at work, is a reaction to chronic high work stress, it is mainly evidenced by low professional or personal performance, emotional exhaustion and depersonalized behavior, in this process progressively the worker suffers a loss of interest in his tasks and develops a negative psychological reaction towards his work occupation. Objective: The aim of this review was to describe BS in healthcare workers. Methods: A systematic review was carried out, in order to identify and evaluate articles that provide information about BS, this search was carried out in journals such as: Redalyc, PubMed and Scielo; using keywords for the search which were: Burnout, Pandemic, Psychological exhaustion, Health risk approved in MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) and DeCS (Descriptors in Health Sciences). Conclusion: Burnout syndrome has not received adequate attention in the workplace, despite being a disease with a cause that contributes to the decrease in patient care service and lack of responsibility in professional medical practice; Therefore, the person who suffers it directly is involved as the person who is treated.
